Professor of Cardiology, Peking University Shougang Hospital. Honorary director of The third hospital of Guiyang, director of vascular center. Graduated at Shanxi Medical School in 1990. From 1997-2000, got doctor degree at the department of Cardiology, Shanghai Second Medical University. From 2000-2002, as Post-doctor fellow at the department of Cardiology, Peking University People’s Hospital. Clinical Fields included Internal medicine, metabolism and endocrinology, circulation, clinical laboratory medicine. Research field focused on early detection of vascular disease, vascular disease therapy. Executive Board of International Society of Vascular Health, President of ISVH Chinese Committee, President of China Social Worker’s Association Vascular Protection Committee. Editor-in-chief of Chinese Journal of People’s Health Vascular Edition. Congress Chairman of Asia-Pacific Vascular Meeting and Chinese annual meeting of vascular disease. Director of National vascular disease early detection promotion project.

The Seventh Chinese annual conference of vascular disease and artery function ＆ The Fifth Asian-Pacific Congress of International Society of Vascular Health(ISVH) will be held in Beijing in June 25-27,2010.On behalf of the organizing committee, I feel honor to invite you to participate the congress.
　

During the past six years,Chinese vascular meeting greatly promoted the new field of vascular medicine internationally.From 2006,we cooperated with ISVH successfully held four times Asian-Pacific congress,the fifth congress will be held this year along with the sixth Chinese annual vascular conference.Under support of Chinese ministry of health,we have been promoted vascular disease early control program in more than 20 provinces,hundreds of hospitals.In 2008,we set up China vascular health promotion project.In may,2010,China social worker’s association vascular protection committee　and American Society of Hypertension(ASH) held the Second joint session on vascular disease early detection and control,and introduced the experience from China.
　

During this year meeting, we will have vascular health week activities in Guangzhou,and Shanghai.President of ISVH,professor of Roland Asmar will give a lecture on different methods for evaluating arterial stiffness, Chairman of AHA Blood pressure committee,Dr.David Colhoun was invited to attend the congress,will give a new topic about hypertension management,professor Kohji Shirai and professor Kenji Takazawa will introduce index for vascular evaluation,professor Yiu-Fai Chen and professor Yabin Chen will also attend our meeting,and give us interesting lectures on vascular medicine.
At National program for vascular disease detection and prevention forum,we will publish China vascular health promotion project 2010,and submit the results of China Arterial Stiffness Evaluation Study(CASE)----Chinese adolescent arterial function evaluation.At the afternoon of June 26,we will hold the Second China-Japan vascular function evaluation on CAVI forum,experts from Japan and China will communicate by oral presentation and poster.Other forums include biomarkers.
Vascular diseases, their mechanisms and adverse prognosis have become the spot of the academic area and the whole society. With further understanding of intrinsic mechanisms of different vascular diseases such as stroke, coronary artery disease, renal artery disease,peripheral artery disease,etc,the vascular diseases have gradually developed as a new inter-disciple combining the traditional cardiovascular disease, endocrine, renal artery disease ,cardiovascular surgery ,medical Imaging as a whole. Each expert who works in this area should recognize and treat vascular diseases in the point of whole human body. We have realized that only the prevention-therapy-rehabilitation strategy could effectively control the occurrence and development of the vascular diseases in the long run, therefore improve the health status of whole society. Accordingly, Early detection of the vascular diseases is the most important part in this strategy.
　

We feel honor to invite a lot of international and local famous scholars to take part in the meeting.the academic exchange during the meeting will undoubtedly promote development of this new area greatly and be helpful in the prevention of vascular diseases.
